There’s something sacred about the first cup of coffee in the morning.

For me, coffee has never been just a drink. It’s been a pause. A reset. A grounding ritual that centers me before I step into leadership, motherhood, and entrepreneurship.
And that’s exactly how Black•ology Coffee Company was born.
From Chef to Coffee
I didn’t come into coffee the traditional way.
I came from the kitchen.
As a chef, I’ve always understood flavor, depth, balance, and experience. I know what it means to create something that makes people pause and say, “this is different.”
During one of the most uncertain times in my life—the pandemic, after being laid off—I found myself leaning into coffee in a deeper way. Not just drinking it, but studying it. Curating it. Respecting it.
What I discovered was simple:
Most coffee was either too acidic, too harsh, or lacking intention.
So I created something different.
